Topic:   Mounting a leaning post to a Nauset

posted 10-14-2003 05:11 PM ET (US)         I have a Nauset that was modified some years ago by an engineer who built a custom console that you can actually stand at. I really wanted to put a leaning post on it, however the wood diagram shows only three strips of wood on the entire deck surface. I was wondering if anyone had an idea of how to do this since you really can't go through both hulls and plate that many screws. Also it seems that the outter strips are too far apart to mount anything sensible. Any help would be appreciated.
