I'd like to replace the OEM 1 piece rub rail on my '69 Katama with the replacement 2 piece kit. My local dealer told me he can only get it with a desert tan receiver track. Can anyone tell me where to get the 2 piece rub rail in white and black ?

for information on the OEM source of the rails (Barbour Plastics, Inc.).

Several years ago I installed a two piece black and white system I was particularly satisfied with on a sixteen footer. It was from West Marine Products. Receipt shows it wasn't cheap. 45 feet @1.53 for the white rail (15 sections?) and 3 orders of the black vinyl insert @36.60. $177 something total but looks remarkedly well and has held up well. The size of the rail and insert are well porportioned to the boat and it's very durable. If you're interested, I'll email you some digital close ups, it's kinda rainy here today, but I can get a few shots for you if you want(instead of what I'm susposed to be doing). At the time the model numbers were 408518 and 407239.

Turns out both rail and insert are black. Emailed you two pictures anyway. Looks like West Marine now sells complete kits. Looks like kit 6, Good luck.

Twin cities marine is about $110 delivered. They are all desert tan in color but not really, more greyish.
