I plan on storing my 1978 V-20 Outrage inside to work on it this winter.
What is the best method of support?

I have read a lot of comments here about the use of keel rollers for supporting whalers when on a trailer and don't know if that is because it is a dynamic load when being hauled. Is the boat adequately supported by using two supports at the stern and one support on the keel, 1/4 to 1/3 back from the bow?

Tom,

Yes, your boat will be adequately supported if there are two supports at the stern and one under the keel up front.

Static storage is NOTHING like trailering. So long as the stern blocks are directly under the transom, you will be fine.

Tom -

And as far as what supports to use, if you can locate/borrow large foam blocks that are used at many marinas, the work just fine.

Thanks,

I figured I was OK since it was a static load but wanted to make sure. Good idea on foam blocks, I think I have some here somewhere.
