Just thought I'd mention to anyone looking for an RPS for their Montauk, Outrage, etc. If you can't find the classic teak back RPS, take a look at the newer Outrage style RPS with the stainless legs and the cuhioned backrest. I recently bought one from a Whaler dealer for $200! It was removed from a new Outrage to replace with a leaning post. The dealer just had it sitting around for a couple of years. It's a bit taller and wider than the classic style but, it functions great! The seat bottom is hinged and lifts easily to access a cooler, fill a gas tank or whatever. It is large enough to put a 94 qt Igloo cooler under it, or a 30 gal. gas tank. It looks great in my Montauk and in my 18 Outrage (can't decide where I like it better). I know a lot of you like to keep things original but, this is still a Boston whaler RPS that is taller than the classic style, more room under it and the backrest locks in place so you can use as a leaning post or seat back. Don't know what the new ones cost. My dealer said it was between $600-800 new. I was going to post a picture, but just saw it on the 17 Outrage on EBAY. Take a look if you are in the market for an RPS. Brian

Forgot to mention that the RPS trim matches the stern seat trim perfectly if you have one. It mounts to the deck with only 4 screws (2 per leg). Also, it's a lot less maintenance to maintain (no teak to clean, oil or varnish). Not trying to sound like a salesman, just that I'm very pleased with it as a less expensive option to the classic RPS in both looks and utility. Brian
