Thurmanator	posted 01-08-2004 11:21 AM ET (US)         Anybody know of a good replacement material for the clear vinyl, maybee something easier to see through and what do you use to clean yours. Mine has small scratches. Thanks
gimcrack225	posted 01-08-2004 03:33 PM ET (US)          Mills sells replacement PVC (Vinyl) They will also do the whole replacement. The prices are reasonable. I don't know of anything better for boat canvas windows. If there were something better everybody would use it. Karl
Tom2697	posted 01-08-2004 04:21 PM ET (US)             I use Meguiar's "clear vinyl cleaner and scratch remover" on my truck windows (PepBoys, Autozone, ect). It'll remove small scrathes and slight hazing. It doesn't work for big scratches but it does allow you to see out the windows again. Just be sure to use a protective polish afterwards or they will haze up again quickly. If you want to replace the windows, look for fabric shops that carry marine grade vinyl. I found some that also carried the clear vinyl for windows. It comes in different mil thicknesses too.
