Does anyone know where I can find a flywheel puller small enough to remove the flywheel on a 1969 Johnson 20 HP? I've been all over town, the auto stores' balancer puller are too big Sears doesn't have one, and the local Johnson dealer only wants to sell me the parts, not the tools. I appreciate any leads.

Thanks,
Ryan

We have a place locally that sells cheep Chinese tools called Harbor Freight. Everyplace I've lived has a place like this.

A small engine repair shop might have what you are looking for, the flywheels on small engines are quite small and may be about the size of a 20 h.p.

Yeah, I've looked on Harbor frieght, their stuff is too big. I'll try the small engine shops, may get a machine shop to make me one.
Thanks,
Ryan

NAPA is the place to go. They have a steering wheel puller that is a scaled down version of a harmonic balancer puller. Had to get some smaller bolts from Lowes to attach properly, but that's ok. Flywheel is off. $15.
