randrewevans	posted 05-22-2004 09:03 PM ET (US)         Any thoughts on what is causing my 97 225 ocean runner to throttle up to about 2000 rpm with the prop spinning normally, then past 2K rpm the engine throttles up, but the prop continues to spin at the 2k rpm speed...almost like the prop is "slipping"....of course this would happen the week before Memorial Day........Any thoughts on what's going on? I have heard it might be a clutch...I have heard a bad gasket? Anyone got a thought here?
