I'm getting close to ordering a new Rubrail for my '87 Montauk and was looking for opinions on color. Sue @ Twin cities informed me there is a 3 piece black model or a 3 piece "moonstone" (light tan) version with a black rubber insert.

The one I have is cracked to hell. It's the tan version, but I'm contemplating putting on the all black model as I think it might look better. I assume the tan is the original color? Any opinions or first hand experience as to which one to go with?

Also, in case you're curious, the tan version is $92.16. The all black one is $135.17.

Thanks all.
Chris

I would go with the Black one, it looks and holds up better. The Tan one fades within a couple of years, after being out in the sun, and then it looks washed out, and more of a faded gray color.

If you go with the Black, I think you will be happy.

Black ! No question. Adds an accent. Take a look at my photos.

Talk to you soon.
