I am as green as can be, but have taken in a lot of info. I have heard/seen mention of a "lifting harness". This what I would want to lift a boat off a trailer to scrape and paint the bottom? Is there any other way to work on the bottom of a boat and have access to the entire surface?

The particular boat is a 15' Dauntless.
Thanks

If you get a couple buddies to help, you should be able to pull it off of the trailer and flip it up on to saw horses.
This requires removing the engine and possibly railing, of course. It will probably work best with one horse at each corner.

Good Luck

Use the trailer as a tilt/lift mechanism as described in other treads here. Worked well for my 130 Sport. Once I had it raised off the trailer and blocked, I removed the tires to drop the trailer and gained more room. Others have pulled the trailer out after blocking, I like just taking the tires off.
