20dauntless	posted 07-01-2004 12:27 PM ET (US)         I have a 1998 9.9 hp four stroke kicker on a 20 foot whaler. While I was out today the mount on the kicker broke. The metal is between 1 and 2 centimeters thick and just cracked. Does anybody know how much this would cost to fix, and how to make sure it doesn’t happen again? The OMC mount that it is on bounces around a lot while going over waves and such. Is there a way to make it more stable? Thanks.
Bigshot	posted 07-01-2004 02:04 PM ET (US)             Find somebody with a Tig welder and have it fixed. Will be stronger than new when fixed. Many use bungees to keep engine from bouncing so much.
