All-
I have 1991 Outrage 19. In past few weeks, the 25 amp circuit breaker (on stbd side of splashwell in plastic box) trips constantly causing me to lose 12v power at center console. I don't think I have a short (but am not certain). I removed circuit breaker from boat yesterday. Shouldn't the button stay "in" even after I remove my finger from it (with no wires connected to breaker)? Mine won't stay in the "in" position. Thanks, Kevin

Assuming "in" is the normal position, yes, it should stay in.

A quick check and inexpensive test would be to jury rig a
25A fuse at the CB location, and see if it blows. If it
doesn't, replace the CB. If it does, find the short or
overload.

Chuck-
Thanks for the reply. I ordered a new circuit breaker (30 amp) from my local dealer (Chesapeake Whalertown). Scott tells me that Whaler used either a 30 or 50 amp breaker but not a 25 amp unit that I have. (I've owned boat just 2 of its 13 years). Kevin
