I am a new owner of an old Montauk and just ordered a 2003 90 hp Yamaha but don't have any idea what the prop shoud be. I am thinking a 13 1/4" X 17 stainless. Any ideas?
Also, this boat belonged to the state of Minn. fisheries and they were not very careful with it, so it needs a lot of TLC. It did not come with a console so I will build one of mahogany. Does anyone have the dimensions of a center console available?
Thanks,
mitch

Usually most repairs to propellers are farmed out to propeller repair shops.

If you are interested in learning about propellers and performance, please use the PERFORMANCE forum. A 17-inch pitch on a 90-HP sounds about right for starters.

The console in a MONTAUK is a molded laminate assembly. You can purchase one from a Boston Whaler dealer. I do not recall anyone trying to mold their own console. The only wooden center console made by Boston Whaler was used in the NAUSET, EASTPORT, and SAKONNET series. You can obtain plans for these.

There is a listing of drawings available in the REFERENCE section of the website.
