Author	Topic:   Davit lifting a 13ft Sport.
Jonathan	posted 11-27-2004 11:03 PM ET (US)         Is it ok to lift a 13ft sport from a single lifting point. The 13ft'rs have 3 davit lifting points (2 in the transom, 1 at the bow). I am concerned that the mechanical load resulting from lifting from a single point will be too much for my old boat. (1980 sport, 50hp 2s). Is it safe to use these davit points or should I just throw a strap under/around the boat.
13dave	posted 11-28-2004 03:29 PM ET (US)             i usualy launch and haul my 13 wiht a crane by using the three tow eyes and have had no resulting problems and mine is a 1969, just make sure u have the eyes socked down tight befoer u begin
