Hi,

Went to the dealer today and met their upholstery guy. I am looking for seat cushions and backings for my 2005 montauk step seats (quarter seats in the rear).

I was quoted $80 per seat and another $40 per backing...so a total of $240 for both sides. He was unsure if he could match the material used by whaler since the cushion material is "heated" to create the ribbing He saisd he might have to stich the ribbing and that it would be close but not exact to whaler.

I went onto the Hall Nautical site but I didn't see these types of seats in their listing nor did I see any pricing.

Has anyone (I know Tabasco did) used them and can you tell me what you were charged for the seats and possibly the backing? Tabasco, can you tell me how the backing are attached to the stern of your montauk on the transom side.

Does Hall use the exact material that BW uses?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Alan

Alan, what you are looking is pleated vinyl. It is heat sealed, not stiched. You can see an example of it on my bow cushion in the pictures in my profile.

Hall's would have what you are looking for. I think I remember Outrage cushions fitting the 170, but I'm not sure.

David
