The throttle and shift cable that came with my 1998 Suzuki 70 are too short to work with my Nauset/Sakonnet.

The controls and cables that came with my motor were side mounted in their previous life. The cables are about 10 feet long. Too short for the binnacle style top mount control necessary for center console mount.

Does anyone know what length shift/throttle cable best suit this situation?

Thanks,
Dawg

Dawg, When I installed a 90hp Yamaha on my 1966 Eastport I used 15 foot control cables which were the same length as the original cables on the 1966 100hp Evinrude. The 15 foot cables work fine but I would have to say they are probably the minimun length required on these boats.

Found my original cable, it was 15 feet long, like Dan's. I used a 16' new one because my new motor is on a two and one-half inch set back plate, it works fine. A 15' cable may have been adequate.
