This is a two tier post: 1) I had a problem where the trim on my '89 130 Yamaha stopped operating. Tried fuses, tried connections, tried re-charging the battery. Solution: hit the trim motor with a hammer (lightly). Solution was found in this forum (I would have never thought to do that myself... I ususally resort to the hammer in frustration... and it's typically a big hammer). 2) Thank you Jim H. for this forum... not only did you provide the vehicle for me to solve my problem (and thus save me a bunch of cash) but you also made it possible to keep me on-schedule to get the boat in the water. |
