I have what I assume is an original bimini top for my 1973 13' sport, but the hinged fittings are loose on the main rod, and I'm not sure where they are supposed to be placed. I'm not even sure what side is the front and what side is the back! Does anyone out there have a top for this style that might be able to help out? any measurements or photos would be appreciated.

There's an excellent article about installing bimini tops in the reference section of this site. To answer one of your questions, my top has the single bow forward and the double bow aft, but I've seen them the other way too.

Thanks, Roy. I'll look for the postings. I'll also spin the top to the double bow aft and see how that works. Is your tubing a smaller diameter than what is currently used now? I think mine is about 2/3 the diameter that is on newer tops.If yours is the older, smaller diameter type, I would sure appreciate some measurements as to where the fittings (hinges) are attached to the main bow.
