RCFRANK46	posted 06-27-2005 03:01 PM ET (US)         I have a 2005 Merc 90 4 stroke and changed my prop last week. After 4 hours of run time I noticed the prop nut was loose. Yes I bent the tabs over on the washer but they looked as if they had lifted. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?
bsmotril	posted 06-27-2005 04:38 PM ET (US)             Bet you dollars for donuts the thrust washer behind the prop was not seated all the way down on the taper. when you ran it, the washer seated leaving additional slack for the nut to take up on the shaft. BillS
