Thought this might be of interest to some folks here...

From a Porsche forum that I frequent, somebody posted the address of this online machine shop, where one can design their own part using their CAD software, and have it milled and shipped to their house.
I've not used this, and it seems pretty pricy, but, if you have to have that one-off part, and don't have access to a machinist, or the local shop doesn't want to mess with your single part order, this might be a way to go.
Check it out. I have no affiliation. Just facinated at yet another direction the internet has taken...

There are many guys with home machine shops that will do similar work for less money. Email me if you need some leads. I have a small lathe and a small mill but not CNC stuff.
I'm not bashing emachineshop, I'm sure they do fine work.

There are many old Lathes and mills out there that are in peoples garages or personal shops. Many of these machines were made obsolete by the CNC machines but they work just fine for one off work.
I droped off a drawing and the material at they guy I use, but he is very busy right now and probably can not get to it for a month.
I would check into any local car clubs for leads
