re: 1996 Nauset 28. Have seen the discussion from 2002 on the helm leak. Most point to overflow condition. My case is the hh 5272 was rebulit in ealry 2004(previous owner). I purchased boat in JUly 05. NO leaks issues through the hot months. Now have intermittent leak at base of helm collar. Whats the best action. New seal kit? |

Sounds like a simple shaft seal, and it's easy to install, only by taking the wheel off. |
