Thorne	posted 01-23-2006 08:06 AM ET (US)         re: 1996 Nauset 28. Have seen the discussion from 2002 on the helm leak. Most point to overflow condition. My case is the hh 5272 was rebulit in ealry 2004(previous owner). I purchased boat in JUly 05. NO leaks issues through the hot months. Now have intermittent leak at base of helm collar. Whats the best action. New seal kit?
LHG	posted 01-23-2006 02:08 PM ET (US)          Sounds like a simple shaft seal, and it's easy to install, only by taking the wheel off.
