my questin is this. i have a 2004 ranger with a 140 suzuki. what gear ratio would troll slower.the boat weight is aboght 2000lb full load ready to fish. i have a 2.38 ratio and a 2.59 ratio, with the 2.59 ratio i run a 22 pitch high 5 and it turns around 6700 rpms. if i went went to a 2.38 ratio that bring my rpms down but the boat troll faster? or if a go to a 24 high 5 with a 2.59 what would that do for trolling speed. witch would be the better setup for trolling slower. thanks scott
