jojoscoot2000	posted 03-27-2006 10:02 AM ET (US)         I own a 1986 Montuak and I noticed some chips in the fiber glass along the forward chines (the smirk) of the hull so that small parts of fiber glass are sticking through and I was wondering how I should go about fixing it? Do you guys think that just injecting some West Systems in there would suffice to seal up the chips? Thanks. -Joe
bsmotril	posted 03-27-2006 01:13 PM ET (US)             The reference section of this site contains a great document with pictures on this subject. I like Marine-Tex epoxy for filling divots and chips because it has a white base, is already thickened, and can be tinted to match the gel coat. BillS
