I have been experiencing a [problem] with my 2004 Mercury 90-HP two-stroke. It stalls after running the motor on an open throttle. After it stalls and I let it sit for five minutes while I drift through a school of fish and go back to start it, it is a challenge to get it started. Four or five cranks and then choke and it barely kicks over. I need to give it gas right away or it will stall. I have been trying to find the answer in previous threads. Is it possible my primer ball is bad? Or is it a clog in the fuel line? The ball is flat when I go to start it again. I have noticed some debris in my 24 gallon fibgerglass fuel tank.

You have a fuel delivery problem. To understand how to use the primer bulb as a diagnostic tool, read my article

In your professional opionion do you think I should start by replacing the primer bulb. After reading your article it sounds like the primer bulb. You don't think it is a fuel pump problem do you? Is there an effective way to clean the fuel lines?

Thanks for your help.
