I have a 1992 Yamaha jet powered Rage that I would like to put an electric trolling motor on. My little boat has the full stainless hand rail from aft of the consol around the bow. I really don't want to cut my rail to install a bow mounted motor. Does anyone have any ideas? Looks like I could fab an "L" bracket that could be mounted to the swim platform.

I used aluminum plate to make a "base" which I then used "U" bolts to attach to the bow rail. I then mounted a long shaft trolling motor to that base.
