Author Topic:   Shepherd Crook fasteners

The two fasteners in the T fitting designed to secure the three pieces of stainless-steel tube, which form the shepherd crook on my 1985 Montauk are spinning free. One fastener is on the top, the other screws in from the bottom. The fasteners are not securing anything at this point and the loose crook rattles in a seaway. I am not sure if these fasteners are plain screws or machine screws, but is there a trick to remove them? Thanks. Peter
