I have just completed a restoration of all the fiberglass and fabrication of all the wood components on a 13' Whaler that started as a trashed, bare hull. It looks like new and I am ready to mount the thwart seats, console and seat clamps that I made from the drawings on continuous wave.

With all of this work, I am a little worried that I won't actually mount the wooden parts correctly. Can anyone provide advice on how to mount them? I have the wood locating diagram, but I am not sure about what to use, size screws, drill hole size and depth, any sealant, etc.

Thanks for any help. I love this website!

PS--I restored a 1981 Montauk but never saw the pictures that I submitted. Hopefully the 13 makes it on the site. I'm proud of them both and look forward to any advice out there.

One more question--Does anyone have suggestions for locating the bow and stern lights that are similar to the originals? I have been on Perko's website and they look pretty modern. The Boston Whaler dealer has some that cost as much as I paid for the hull!

Thanks,
Brett
