posted 08-27-2007 12:10 AM ET (US)         My 67 13' Sport has a 17" high Montauk style rail on the bow. It looks pretty cool and unique, but it is also a real hassle to climb over or squeeze under. Therefore, I am considering cutting the rail height down to roughly a 6" height. I hate the idea of changing the original design of the boat because everything is still original. I also don't want to just remove the rail because riders sitting in the front often use it for a handhold. Anybody have any experience with this or any suggestions? Thanks.
