I'm looking to replace the RPS cushion on my 05 Montauk 170. I would like to get one thats about 3 inches thick. The OEM cushion only seems to be about 1.5 inches thick.

Thanks

I'm not sure if there is a difference in the RPS between years. Is your backrest all wood and allows for seating either sitting forward or reverse?

If so, you might want to check just how much an added 1.5 inches or so of foam will change how far the RPS will move.

If you look at the bottom of this thread http://continuouswave.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/014685.html you will see a reference to the 2008 Montauk having a thicker cushion.

While this may work to add height, I would check very carefully if the RPS seat back and/or arms have been changed to accomodate the thicker cushion.

Are you going for height or more seat comfort. If height, I would just raise the RPS base. Do a search.

Good Luck
