lakeman	posted 09-07-2007 02:19 PM ET (US)         My trim switch on my mercury single lever throttle control(cannot spell the "binnacle" word), is sticking. Has anyone tried to fix a similar problem? Is there access to the trim switch with out tearing the whole thing apart?
Chuck Tribolet	posted 09-07-2007 08:36 PM ET (US)             You'll probably need to replace it. I'd try a shot of silicone spray, and if that didn't work, I'd order a new one from Merc. Those little switches really aren't user serviceable. I've decided that the next time my OMC switch craps out (I'm on the third one in 10 years), I'm going to install a GOOD switch somewhere, and wire the harness from the prior switch to it. Chuck
