The boat looks great. I like that steering wheel.

Ridge Runner,

Can't tell you how thrilled I was to read your post this morning. I bought a 2005 130 Sport this summer, and modifying it is my winter project. You have given me new ideas about what is possible. Thank you so much for including the pictures in Photbucket.

I am curious why you selected the Garmin 498C? It appears you put a great deal of thought into all of your modifications.

Thanks, Dave

Dave,

I looked at alot of GPS/SONAR units. The 498C was discontinued last year but you can find them for a great price on the internet, I paid $450 w/transducer for mine. I really like that it has built in G2 Blue Water Charts as well as a data card slot, plus its has a dual beam transducer with temp sensor. If you take out your cup holder a 3" deck plate fits perfect and makes a great place to mount the unit. If you are going to install a gimball mount stereo you should avoid the Poly-Planar mount it was very difficult to install the radio in. Let me know if you would like any more ifo...all in I'd say I put about 60 man hours into the rigging. - Joe
