LKD	posted 12-04-2007 10:59 PM ET (US)             Remo, I measured a 1987 and a 1986 Montauk and the RPS Z legs start 18" behind the center console. Keith
Fishcop	posted 12-05-2007 11:47 AM ET (US)             Hey Remo, I agree. Mine is a 1986. If you don't have any existing holes, then you can pretty much mount it where it feels comfortable to you. There is plywood all over the deck for the screws to hold onto. Good luck. Andy
