Now that I'm getting familiar with my new-to-me Montauk, I realize I probably should know a good mechanic and/electrical guru. I got this old boat in-part because I like to work on them, but I need a backup

Task#1 - Need fixed now: Sort out the wiring in the console and in the rigging tunnel. My nav lights aren't working. My Depth isn't working. The old VHF wasn't working either (removed and replacing with handheld). There are some old wires in there that are cut. I started tracing some to different locations, but I don't want to get into trouble. Ideally I'd like to move the battery to the console and put in a bus bar for accessories. I also want to check and make sure the rectifier is working.

Task #2 - Something to start thinking about: While changing the lower unit oil, there was a little evidence of water - some milkiness. No shavings - magnet on drain plug was clean.

Any ideas who I should go to?
