Topic:   Where is the wood in a 1970 13'

posted 03-29-2008 05:26 PM ET (US)         I own a 1970 13’ Whaler. I mounted trolling rod holders (Scotty) in it. There mounted on the inside of the boat, about 2 inches forward of the ore locks. I after mounting them and thinking about it a little more, they’re mounted on fiberglass not wood. I looked at the drawings mentioned at : http://continuouswave.com/whaler/reference/13/ . Is there wood under the gunnels in my boat? It’s hard to tell from the drawings. If not, any segustions on places to mount trolling rod holders? It’s for blue fishin. Thanks, Tom
