I notice some interior spider cracking and chipping around the cracked interior plastic scupper trim. I know for sure I will need to take a putty knofe and get the circular scupper trim off completely and replace; my question is how do you sand down the area around it that is spider-cracking and chipping? It is non-linear and curved, as it is in a corner.

Once I get the area sanded and smoothed I intend on re-gelcoating the area and then applying a new trim with some marine adhesive.

Andy advice on the sanding part, or any other? I know I will have to block up the scupper first and dry the area out; the boat is in the water.

Sal - I would use a dremmal with a little 1" sanding disk. If you do use one be careful because this setup can be pretty agressive.
