I'm wondering if and how the keel of a 13' is straight before the beginning of the bow curve. This is needed to understand how the rubber rollers on my home made trailer (a launching trailer only, see pics) must be adjustable.
Thanks
Fabio

The classic 13 foot Whalers actually had a hook (opposite of rocker) designed into the bottom to help get the boat on plane with minimal horsepower.

What is the advantage of using keel rollers over a basic longitudinal bunks in such an application?

The closest I've come to using a launch trailer is a winched boat house cart on tracks, so maybe I don't understand the fundamentals of launch trailering.

According Whaler instructions the boat have to rest on his keel, longitudinal bumps to keep the hull from rocking only, this is due to the construction of the boat that allows the keel to support his entire weight.

I will 'park' the boat at a club on the seashore together with other small powerboats and typical italian fishing boats, imagine a kind of a boats parking lot, and a road trailer is too bulky to the launch/park use only, yet the sea water would damage it very quickly so I need a small launching trailer for this use only... We normally do that for sailing boats such 470 and FDs.
