No Respect	posted 06-23-2008 02:23 PM ET (US)             Liquid electrical tape is what you need although it is not neoprene. I believe it is PVC in a solvent base. In any case it does a very good job.
cindalyn	posted 06-23-2008 02:33 PM ET (US)             WalMart and most boating stores carry "Liquid Tape". It comes in Black, Red & Green but I could only find the black. Good stuff, but be careful not to get on the boat. It can be a bit messy.
Newtauk1	posted 06-23-2008 03:16 PM ET (US)             Thanks. My Mercury shop manual referred to using Mercury Liquid Neoprene to cover several electrical connections. The connections on my starter solenoid need to be covered. I assume liquid tape will work just as well as the Quicksilver OEM product.
