I have started to restore what I think is a rare 1972 smirked 13' boat.
I purchased this boat for 350.00 including a trailer.
When I first saw it I knew I had to have it.
I had Richard (RLwhaler)and his crew repair a riding mower hole and all the other damage it had and re-gelcoat the entire boat.
My now almost new boat has taken on a new life.
Richard did an incredible job, if anyone needs any work done I would not hesitate a second to recommend him.
The boat was manufactured as a center steer sport model and will now become a 1972 semi-modified super sport.
I have linked the photobucket site (hope I did it right) and will continue to update it as I go along. Thanks again RLwhaler for an incredible job.

cgodfrey thanks for fixing the link.

Does anyone know what the aluminum angle was for on the seat shelf? It is visible on the second picture. Is this from manufacture or is an add-on from a previous owner?
Thanks is advance for any help.

As far as I know Whaler never used Aluminum in a 13' for anything. Always liked 72's and if I ever have to redo my 1981, she is getting done in blue.

Well Hello C,
That boat looks familiar..Thanks for the kind words.
I'll pass it on to the rest of the crew.
See ya on the water bro!

Really a cute boat. Congrats also for the gel coat job, you can tell the high quality from small details like the shiny drain tubes!
How the textured floor appears after the re-gelcoating? Still retains a good grip? I'm thinking to my winter job on my '77 13'.
I love wrap around splashwells on a 15" transom!

I would hazard a guess that mounted to the seat board is a pedestal seat base. Maybe they mounted a seat on top?

She is looking great!
