Hey everyone. I have a '95 envinrude (40) and it runs fine out of water, but as soon as its in the water under the engine bogs and dies. The ignition system is new and the carbs are clean. Cant seem to figure out the problem. Have the same problem with one of my jet skis also. Thanks for any help!

Your problem is fuel related - a plugged filter, pinched line, bad fuel pump - et al. ----- Jerry/Idaho |

Carbs may be clean, but are they adjusted properly? |

runs fine like on the muffs? (low RPM) do you have a through hub exhaust and if so how much exhaust is getting out you may have a nest up inside your shaft area and the water pressure in the shaft area is greater than the pistons can push out and it bogs down and dies ,, the potato in the tail pipe trick ^@^ |
