I gutted my 13' with a 25 HP Yamaha 4 stroke and fabricated three, 4-legged seat bases with swivels. These are not attached to the boat in any way, but are pretty stable. I can add or subtract them as needed. Yes, the bow seat has different leg lengths. My question is how could I attach a base permanently to the floor, at least to the drivers seat? Any ideas? I did a search and found a 17' Alert with tiller steering and seat bases, it looks to be factory? Thanks!

There is wood in the floor where the console is supposed to be. By just screwing the seat into the floor you are taking a chance, but if I was going to do it I would sand out the nonskid where the bases were to go and then apoxy the base to the floor in addition to screwing it in. |

Whether or not there is wood backing in the floor to attach to is dependent upon what year your 13 footer is. Early models had very little backing built into the hulls. |

It is a 1973 13'. Eric Elias suggested "Tec 7", but he is in Belgium. I filled out a form on there web site to find a dealer and have had no response. |
