If anyone is considering converting a 15' classic to a center console, [a console being sold on an on-line auction website] works very well. I used it for my Striper.

MARKETPLACE can be used to list items for sale which are related to Boston Whaler boats. We don't collect lists of items for sale elsewhere.

I went to considerable effort to provide a link for others who may be trying to convert to a center console. I'm not selling anything. Now the link has been removed. I won't waste my time next time.

He is not try to upset you. He wants things that have to do with selling or buying to be in the market place area of continuous wave, not the the repair area. Make since?

Jeez! Striper15 is volunteering information which points potential repairers/modifiers to a source for specific parts. Certainly a good way to alienate potentially valuable contributors. This type of reference has been posted here ever since I can remember. Give the guy a break!

You'll have to judge if the information content of the article has been damaged by removal of the link to an on-line auction. If you think the article has little value without the link to the on-line auction, this really means the focus of the article was the on-line auction and not the repair or modification of the boat.
If there is no information content left after the link to an on-line auction was removed, this probably means the article should have been in MARKETPLACE.

The focus of the post was console conversion. I felt that someone looking for information on converting a 15' to a center console would look in this section, not MARKETPLACE. However, this is your website (and a great website at that) and I respect your position. As a Whaler lover, I am very happy to have such a great site available to me.
