Here are some recent photos of my cleaned up, not restored, 19 Outrage, which as most now know, was stored unused for over 25 years.
All details shown are Whaler original for this model boat, and how the boat would have looked rigged from the factory, with the exception of varnished teak vs oiled teak.

See photos #1-#25

http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v429/lgoltz/Outrage%2019/ .

Included are battery installation and oil tank installation details, the way I think it should be done. The boat has been competely re-wired. Some of the varnished teak looks blotchy, but that is the late afternoon shadowing when the photos were taken. In my opinion, I improved upon the rigging by not using Whaler's fuel line fitting and dual rigging boots in the stern cross seat. Console is raised 4".

In working on this boat, I have come to appreciate what an incredible amount of teak finish detailing it had. A really fine example of Whaler's early Outrage construction.
And of course, the red rubrail is a unique part of this hull.

Larry the details on the boat look outstanding as expected. You always do it correctly no matter the time nor expense. I have to give you credit on for that. One thing though, most all of your images are about the details....COME ON....you are killing me. Step back, uncover the whole boat and take some over all images of the 19 and 21. I know I for one am anxious to see the overall finished projects. :P. All kidding aside I can not wait to see them in person.

Larry,
Looks like you did it again..
If you are the keeper of the Bar;
I will be taking a double!
It seems that You and I would prefer to see their Teak varnished and glossy like.
Nice clean and unpretentious look;
Functional and correct.
I will have guessed that you will have a clear cover for that circuitry board..
The stern bench has had some mid support added;
As it not?
The gel seems so much paler than mine;
Was it custom or special order?
Love the white battery cases,very Chic.
I do like the nice custom cable trench wooden cover.
Teak or Mahogany?
You are right in appreciating the very sharp red rub rail;
It really brings the paleness of your gel nicely.
My Desert Tan gel seems to be a shade darker.
A lot of very good work again here Larry..
Anything special done to the hull?
Nice touch,
This refit will be a hard one to beat.
I will Thank You for yet again giving us a load of incentive and inspiration to make it right.

Thank you, Gentlemen.

Jack - the boat had original nice twin Johnson 70's as I obtained it, but they were mismatched in year, and had to go, unfortunately. Both sold.

Serge - No support has been added to the stern bench. What you see is all original. Same for the all original gelcoat, which is Desert Tan inside, and on console, and a paler tan on the outside. I thought Spectrum Outrage Gray was the color, but not even close.

The battery box is one of the original Whaler Desert Tan boxes, which I pirated from my Outrage 25 since those boxes are concealed under the stern deck and out of view. No longer available. In the photos color may be distorted as they were taken in late afternoon sun.

The stern sump cover is marine teak plywood 1/2", all original configuration.

Nothing done to the hull at all. Not a scratch on it, even the bottom looks brand new. Boat has less than 100 hours of use since new. But that's about to change!

Overall photos coming soon.

Larry:

I have counted myself as fortunate not to covet the things that others have or own - but I am positively green with envy about your boat.

If you ever decide to sell, please let me know. The boat is obviously worth top dollar. I'll just convince one of my children that college is not all it's cracked up to be...

By popular demand, I have added some photos of the overall boat! Better photos available in a week or so. Enlarge to full size for better viewing of boat detail and condition.

I believe this boat I (very luckily) found to be the best all original condition, NON-restored, 70's era Outrage 19 still in existance.

Larry,

She is stunning and looks right at home behind that Brougham (time capsules both).
