I have a 1998 Mercury 175XL Offshore with a Mirage Plus stainless steel prop. I need a new Flo-Torq hub but am unsure which to buy. What I found online says it’s only for motors up to 135hp. I am also considering going to a Flo-Torq III but it is still the same question.

Thanks for any help you can give.

The Flo-Torq II hub kit for that motor is, by far, the most common one:

835257K 1 (Mercury branded)

or

835257Q 1 (Quicksilver branded)

The Flo-Torq II is for motors up to 15 HP. If you are looking for help with "shift clunk", you would want to use the Flo-Torq IV for your motor.

I'd be happy to send you one for $25.

Do you need the whole hub kit? or just the Delrin plastic insert?

I just tried an OMC prop on my Mercury and it looks like it would work with a spacer or double thrust washer, anyone ever done it?
