Looking for the exact measurement from the center of the keel up to the edge of the transducer on installations that seem to work well on an 18' Outrage. This is a standard type of transducer that needs to start out 1/8" below the transom at the shallowest point. I just filled a dozen or so holes from the former owner's past attempts, like to get it right first time.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter exactly where it is as long as it's pointing straight down, remains in the water at all times and misses the trailer bunk. |

Mount a 4" x 4" x 3/4" block of king starboard or other like synthetic material to your transom, and then the transducer to that. If you screw-up the install, you're only re-drilling into the block. |
