Can you, or has anyone used the Yamaha brand RING ADDITVE in their Mercury 4-stroke engine?

Not a Merc 4-stroke.
But a friend used Yamaha Ring-Free on his twin 115 hp Yamaha 4-strokes on his 24 Pursuit. His perception was that it ran better and smoother using Ring-Free.
Hard to quantify.
