I have some small gel coat scratches I'm going to touch up and don't want to mix more gelcoat than necessary. I actually measured the following quantities for common items. I then calculated the mix ratios so they should be relative close estimates of the amount of catalyst to use with gelcoat at a 2% catalyst ratio. Hopefully this will be of use to others.

COMMON ITEMS <RESIN> < CATALYST >
CC 2% CC DROPS

1 - 35 MM plastic film container 34 .68 12.5

1 - Teaspoon (Measuring Cup)* 14 .28 6.0

1 - Plastic Teaspoon Spoon* 7 .14 3.0

1 - Plastic Soda Bottle cap 8 .16 3.5

The .5 DROP hung on the dropper, it did not fall.

*Note that the CC in a 'Measured Teaspoon' and 'Plastic Teaspoon' were not the same.
