gabem1	posted 03-21-2010 05:40 PM ET (US)         I have 2003 Johnson 115-HP. Can I use reg 10w30 oil? It looks like the side panel unscrews, and the filter is right there, but where is the drain plug? How and what type of oil is used for the lower drive? Point me the right direction. It would be great. Thanks Gabe

seahorse	posted 03-21-2010 10:42 PM ET (US)             If you do not have a copy of your owners manual, you can download one from www.shop.evinrude.com then click on PARTS, then LITERATURE, then choose make, model, and year.
contender	posted 03-21-2010 11:10 PM ET (US)             You need to use a OMC gear oil for the lower unit (I think the weight is 80-95 but not sure). A light oil with burn the gears. This is one thing you need to do correctly with the correct oil....take care
