Author	Topic:   OMC Gear Case Removal: Releasing Shift Shaft of 6-HP
NewportMe	posted 04-20-2010 07:14 AM ET (US)         I am going to install a water pump kit in a Johnson 6-HP model J6RLEIA outboard. How do I go about releasing the shift shaft? I have done this on my 225 on my boat, so I am familiar with the basics. But I cannot find any way to release the shift shaft. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Bruce
