[What are] the dimensions for the sump or bilge cover on a 1988 Montauk hull? I believe it was 1/2-inch thick, but what is the length and width? |

[The dimensions of the sump cover on a MONTAUK are:] 7-3/4"(W) x 9"(L) x 1/2"(T) teak marine plywood. Forward corners are radiused 3/8" |

As a follow up, I fabricated a cover out of 1/2" Seaboard which is similar to King Starboard. The color is Seafoam which matches the gel coat close. I use Larry's dimensions and as usual he was dead on. My steering cable exits the sump sooner then the other rigging so I had to create an angled void in the cover. I routed the edges and now need to radius the front corners. I will attach the cover with Velcro. I filled in the screw holes several years ago. I will see how the Velcro holds up. |

Good call on filling the screw holes. BW didn't bed them with anything, so there's opportunity for leaks to the hull interior. |

3m makes a velcro you can stick electronics to your dash with...$1 an inch but it works. Mine is clear in color as well. |
