MikeC	posted 07-21-2010 07:50 PM ET (US)         I am installing a Teleflex steering system on my !976 SPORT 13. I need to know what cable to get. I have read all the older posts and [the length of the steering cable used] seems to range from 8-feet to 11-feet. What [length] is correct?
macfam	posted 07-22-2010 02:32 PM ET (US)             If you measure from nut under steering wheel to nut on tilt tube(perhaps using a length of rope) and then add 1.5 feet you will obtain the correct Teleflex cable length.
MikeC	posted 07-22-2010 07:13 PM ET (US)             I have the interior out being refinished and I have to order the stering system and wheel so I cant measure right now.I was looking to get this stuff ordered so I could get everything done at once. Thanks
