HarlemSgt	posted 12-19-2010 07:13 PM ET (US)         I have a small Mercury engine with the serial number A170510. I have tried to search online for info regarding size and year, but to no avail. Any ideas?

You should use GOOGLE.COM to search for information about Mercury outboard motor serial number lists and instructions on how to interpret them. I also recommend you call Mercury Marine Customer Service.
